This talk will address necessities of utilizing open source tools and procedures of making communication software secure and standard compliant, with first hand experiences during different development phases. An overview of inseparable bond between cryptography and Open Source will be provided with specific examples tied to topics of trusted channels, firmware security, non-invasive security and specific cryptographic topics.
