The global network operating systems (NOS) market is at an all-time high. The demand of organizations worldwide for cost-effective, scalable, secure and easily manageable networking solutions has generated numerous Open Source and proprietary NOS solutions available to companies today.
The Replica.one platform was built to accelerate service-based ecosystems through the easy inclusion of Open Source and third-party applications. The goal of this platform is to enable building robust service ecosystems. All services within this ecosystem should be easily provisioned from the local web UI, via the cloud interface, or through standard provisioning methods.
Replica.one leverages open source upstream community projects such as the Linux kernel, and is mainly based on the Gentoo package manager. The principle of using Open Source components ensures that any firmware generated by Replica.one benefits from the latest mainline advancements of upstream community projects. A core goal of the Replica.one project is to upstream all possible contributions to relevant Open Source projects for the benefit of upstream projects.
